YSK: That two #10 welder lenses are adequate for eclipse viewing. This might not matter till 2024 but it's important, if you're in a pinch situation in which you can't get 'approved' glasses, then two #10 lenses will work just fine. I watched the whole eclipse with zero negative consequences.
Admittedly, this is anecdotal , but I watched the whole thing and haven't found any negative consequences as of yet.
I'm only posting because I had a hell of a time finding information beforehand telling me that it was safe or unsafe
