Have you ever wondered how people type things like ß, ╟, or ¢? It's simple.
Holding left alt and pressing a combination of numbers on the numpad will produce a symbol that is usually not found on your keyboard. Each symbol has it's own specific corresponding Alt Code.
For example, wanna quickly type the Ω symbol? Simply hold ALT and press 2, then 3, then 4 and hey presto, you've succesfully typed the Omega symbol.
A comprehensive list of Alt Codes can be found on this website.
YSK: Alt Codes, for whenever you need to type something you can't find on your keyboard.
