LPT: get GAP or warranties from a credit union, not a dealer. Dealers make commission on selling you these things and will charge whatever you're willing to pay
Example; GAP is usually around $300 at a credit union. I've seen dealers charge north of $800. Warranties are also more flexible and not restricted to Ford, Toyota, Honda, etc. mechanics only. Dealer quoted me $1500 and I got it through a credit union for $450!
