LPT: if you are wearing a ring and injure your finger or it otherwise begins to swell before you can get it off, you can go to any fire department and have them cut it off for you.

The price of repairing a ring is much less than losing a finger.

Edit: I mean cut off the ring, although I guess it Will help with the swelling to just be rid of the whole Finger
