LPT: if you ever need to call nine-one-one the first and most important thing to say is your location.
Every 911 operator that I know starts with "911 where is your emergency?" People are panicked, upset, angry, or otherwise emotional. They'll start with their name, what their situation is, screaming that they need paramedics, or that they are being attacked, and so on.
If you ever find yourself needing assistance from First Responders please remember that I can get police and fire started to you as long as I know where you are, even if I don't know what you need. I'd much rather have officers and medics enroute to you and then talk about your specific situation.
TL;DR - if you ever have to call 911 start with "I am at 123 Any Street, and I need police."
