LPT: When seeing someone from a professional setting, especially a superior, always reintroduce yourself, even if you know their name.

This is a fantastic tip when running into people in the general public. They make recognize you and know exactly who you are but just blank on the name. Every time I reintroduce myself, the relief on their face is always telling.
