LPT: You don't need the highest quality everything. Buy cheap things and replace the ones that break with better quality items.

Starting out in life, you're going to need a lot of stuff. Buy the inexpensive version and replace those things when they break with the higher quality ones, within reason. If there's a crazy inexpensive thing that works well compared to a much higher cost and quality version of that item, make a judgement call.
