you can skip most lines at U.S. customs by using the Mobile Passport app

Note that this only works for U.S. & Canadian citizens, and only if you are re-entering the United States via one of the airports (or the one cruise port) listed on this page: http://ift.tt/2yFi7kv was waiting in a line at customs yesterday which looked to be about an hour long, when an airport employee walked past and called out, "Mobile Passport users can skip the line and follow me", and no one answered. I pulled out my iPhone, looked up "mobile passport" in the app store, installed it, scanned my passport and answered the questions, and it gave me a QR-code "receipt" on the screen. The next time the guy came by, I showed him the screen and said, "Like this?" He opened up the line barrier and let me out of the line. I shrugged and said to the people behind me, "Um, this is in the app store, anybody can do this", and then the employee took me to the front of the line.There was another border patrol line after baggage claim, and I got to skip that line, too.I guess it's only a matter of time before everyone figures this out and the new line becomes just as long as the old one, but, use this to your advantage while you have the chance :)
