YSK app developers are putting out updates so regularly so they stay on the top of charts, not to fix bugs that you probably didn't even encounter

I'm not sure if this is the way for Android, but Apple only looks at recent downloads (like the last week) to figure out the "top" apps. This includes downloading updates. App developers that put out updates that say something like "we put out regular updates" for whatever reason do this with the intent to stay on top of the charts, and maybe 10% of the time because there's a major bug or new feature.
