http://ubme.com has a good location based app that seems to be pretty strong in a good chunk of the U.S. It's like a location-based chat.

http://me3.com has gotten some traction recently but is limited once you get out of the major east coast cities.

http://patook.com has kind of the same issue as Me3 but has at least some presence on the west coast.
