YSK if you or a friend has a medical emergency on drugs medical staff legally cannot report you to the police

And the police in the ER are there for the doctors' safety, and as a resource for people to voluntarily report incidents to the police. They are not there to arrest people who come into the ER high on drugs.

I share this information so that if if you or someone you are with needs medical assistance you can react and get the help needed without hesitation for fear of getting in legal trouble.
