Movies/videos like to skip over the little bit of them blowing out the shot so it looks cooler. While not on purpose, I think this portrayal in media of drinking a flaming shot is a cause of many accidents involving drinking flaming liqueur.
If I can save ONE person from accidentally burning themselves under the mistaken impression that swallowing the alcohol will allow it to extinguish, this quick post is worth it.
