LPT: If you can see the side of your car in your side mirrors you are probably not using them correctly.
If you can see the side of your car you probably have your mirrors too far in. (Exception large trucks: useful for towing and they generally have a second mirror to compensate). Also, if you see the same image in 2 of your mirrors you probably have them too far in. If you can see the same image in all 3 mirrors why don't you just knock off your side mirrors? I mean what good are they really doing you?
Adjust your mirrors so the edge of the image from your rear view mirror lines up with the edges of the images from your side view mirrors.
If you have your mirrors adjusted correctly it virtually eliminates your blind spot. You should be able to see a passing cars tail end in your side mirror as you see the front in your window. Please watch out for motorcycles and drive safe.
