LPT: If you have to ask if something is a scam, it's almost certainly a scam

I see this question come up all of the time in finance-related subreddits: "Is this a scam?" I've never seen the answer be "no."

There are very few things in life that are too good to be true, and there are a lot of people out there looking to take advantage of you.
