There is a major misnomer that restaurants and grocery stores can be sued if food they donate is spoilt or makes someone sick - this just is not true! The government made legal protections against this to allow more donations to food banks!

Lots of major cities have great organizations that will even pick up these leftovers and greatly appreciate ugly/ on edge produce, stale baked goods, and more!

Consider donating your leftovers or talking to your manager/ store owner about donating, it will make a HUGE difference in many lives, and can be a great gift this season!
