LPT: If your apology starts with "I'm sorry you..." then it's probably not an apology.

For example: "I'm sorry you misunderstood me" rather than "I'm sorry I wasn't clear".

"I'm sorry you reacted badly" rather than "I'm sorry I was a dick".

Saying this puts the blame on someone else which you are then apologising for. Saying sorry comes from something you did, not the other way around.

Note: I'm sure there are ways in which "I'm sorry you..." can be a genuine apology. More often than not, it's not.
