LPT: If you're having trouble sleeping, try putting on a Nature documentary. Especially one you've seen before. Nature is soothing, calming and stress reducing to humans.

This works incredibly well for me personally and I do this a lot to get to sleep when I need too.

If you have access to Netflix, there is a variety of nature shows available. Including stuff like Blue Planet, Planet Earth, Wildest Series(eg Wildest Islands), and others.

At first, if you've never really been into nature, you might be drawn in and want to watch the show, but after a while the same nature show you've seen before will start to be a calming and soothing. Rather than laying in bed bored and irritated your attention will be directed towards nature and you'll very often nod off. Nature shows rarely have seriously dramatic and intense moments, and are more spectacle and showcase than other TV shows.

They're more meant to be watched and absorbed rather than trying to follow a story line of sorts.

Plus many of the narrators chosen, especially David Attenborough, have calming and mild voices, rather than intense or attention demanding voices.

Exposure to nature makes people happier, and while a nature doc isnt exactly prancing around in the flowers, it's still beautiful and soothing.

So pick one, put the volume on low, and listen and eventually you may find yourself nodding off far easier than tossing and turning, letting your mind wander.

Eventually you may find one that is particularly good at making you nod off. For me that's Blue Planet.
