LPT: When traveling and needing to stop for snacks or bathroom breaks, stop at stores like Target instead of middle of nowhere gas stations and rest stops

I’m a college aged girl who often does solo 10 hour road trips to get home from school. Whenever I need to stop on my trip, I make it a point to stop at a Target or other popular grocery store if I need to use a restroom or get some food. There are usually more people around, security cameras, free/clean bathrooms, and better priced snacks. I definitely find the safety of stopping somewhere like this well worth a 10 or 15 minute detour, opposed to a middle of nowhere rest stop.
