Best solution to a broken luggage handle?

CaptionI had just bought this piece of luggage 2 weeks ago when I was traveling in Norway. Fast forward to today where I'm hoping on a train back to Oslo, the train started moving while I was helping my GF put her bags away and my bag well down 2 steps and the handle got bent way out of place. Now it's jammed to all hell and am dreading hunching over to roll my bag around. The icing on the cake is that they don't send replacement parts outside of Norway. Should I try to fashion a rope handle or is there a better solution?
