LPT: An egg slicer is a handy way to divide a stick of butter into nice little pats.

I have toast with butter every morning, and I found I was getting a bit heavy handed. It's hard to cut butter by hand, but... A slightly chilled half stick of butter slices beautifully in my egg slicer - giving me even portions and just enough butter to make my toast yummy. Plus - it's another use for the egg slicer! (Bonus LPT: a good egg slicer can be used to slice mushrooms and strawberries as well.). Enjoy!
