LPT: If your friend or family member is notorious for "borrowing" money and not paying it back think of it as a scam or a con it will make it easier to say no.

I'm not saying to never lend or give money to your friends and family when they are in times of need. But the ones who are constantly spending money they don't have, calling off work and blowing money at the bar then coming to you because they are desperate and behind on their car payment but then they show up the next day with the newest iphone.
