LPT: Microwave plates before serving meals

When I was a server in college a few of the restaurants I worked at kept the plates under heat lamps which kept the food warm longer. Now when I cook, I like to microwave my plates between one and two minutes. It always seems to impress girlfriends, friends and family and shocks everyone as to why they never did it themselves.
