LPT Request: What are some techniques to get cheap flight tickets?

I travel often for both work and fun. I had been wondering if you guys had particular techniques in finding extra cheap flights? My current technique is just to filter for the cheapest ticket packages on Expedia. But I know that has to be newer/cheaper sites out there. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
