YSK AAA Hotel discounts are equal in price and better in rewards benefits than Friends and Family discounts.

• Hotel prices with a AAA discount are usually the same price as Friends and Family discount.

• AND! AAA discounted nights are valid for rewards programs when Friends and Family are not.

Would have been great to know as I was in town for my Grandfathers slow departure :( RIP!. Every penny counts during such tough times.

I discovered this with Marriot Rewards, here is the page that explains it. Unfortunately, I found this out after 5 nights and customer support wasn't able to add rewards points after the fact.
