YSK if you can't get your hands on solar eclipse viewing glasses, you can try to get some solar film from a photography supply store, or astronomy/telescope store. You can make lenses fairly easily for a telescope or binoculars.

I found one that is a Baader brand. It was about $40 for a notebook sized sheet. probably not very many people have thought of this so if you are bummed out that you couldn't get your hands on those glasses or somebody in your area bought them all up and is scalping them this could be a good solution for you.
