YSK: It’s wicked rude to start a conversation with a motorcycle ride with a story about a deadly motorcycle crash.

Instead you could ask a question like: “Hey, I heard from someone that when your going around a turn it’s best to also tilt or turn your head with the turn instead of just your eyes...does that help or makes things safer?”

This is what usually happens to me:

Me: rides up in moto and takes off helmet Person: “Hey, I didn’t know you rode a motorcycle...” M: suppresses sarcasm Yep P: Well let me tell you about my Uncle...he was riding his motorcycle all safe like one day...wearing a jacket and helmet and pants too...and he was on the highway...and all of the sudden this freak octopus comes out of the highway and sticks to his helmet and starts trying to suck his brain out...then like this spider crawls up the back of his helmet and starts eating his brain through his ears...and then while this 18 wheeler was randomly stopped and perpendicular on this major highway and helping a family of ants safely cross the road...my Uncle crashed into the truck...and well...he dead. M: “Oh yeah...” P: “But you seem safe...enjoy your ride man...” M: what the fvck ever man “Thanks bro”
