Ever parked in a parking lot, unsure of whether or not you're legally able to park in that lot?
Most private properties have signs posted at every entrance to an adjacent parking lot and this can lead to unfortunate circumstances involving expensive towing costs.
CHECK YOUR CITY ORDINANCES! Today I found out that the towing company and signage were out of city code compliance and my case is being considered against the towing company as well as the private property owner. I very well may be refunded my towing costs and then some.
TL;DR If you get towed from private property, check city ordinances to ensure both the towing company and private property owner are up to date. Take pictures of signs as evidence.
