This is very easy to build with stuff you already have around the house. It works on the principle of a pinhole camera and can produce a nice, clear image of the disc of the sun. There is no danger because you are looking at a projected image of the sun, and not the sun itself. This is a great option if you are going to be somewhere that will experience a partial eclipse on Monday.
YSK: You can build a perfectly safe eclipse viewer out of a cardboard box. No glasses required!
