YSK: If you're evacuating from a storm and hotel prices are just too much, you can just stay overnight in a WalMart parking lot

WalMart has an open policy to allow overnight parking at most of its stores as long as the city does not have an ordinance that does not allow sleeping in a vehicle. Their parking lots have ample lighting, the store's open 24 hours, restrooms are "usually" clean, and I assure you there's always people sleeping in a vehicle or RV / tractor trailer between shifts away from home. Save a TON of money. Just hope that you have comfortable enough seats if you don't have an SUV to make a make-shift bed in the rear.
