Lately I commented something on /r/ImGoingToHellForThis (basically it is a subreddit filled with edge) after encountering a post of it on /r/all. I'm not a fan or a participant of that subreddit, instead I just commented something regardless.
Few minutes later I got a message from this echo chamber subreddit /r/OffMyChest banning me due to "supporting a hate subreddit" though you wouldn't care about that, they are applying their rules outside their subreddit, and if you ever make a new account you know it's automatically a violation of Reddit rules to escape a ban.
I hope something is done about this.
