LPT: If you receive a phone call from someone claiming to be your computer company, hang up, it's a scam!!

Just received a phone call from a man saying he was from HP and that my computer was on high alert. I hung up and called the actual number for tech support and they said this is happening for many tech companies all over and that a tech company will NEVER call you unless you have a previously scheduled appointment.
