Most of the time we'll end up hoping for a certain outcome for the split second the coin is in the air. Trust your gut and make that your choice, regardless of the result of the coin flip.

EDIT: As mentioned by some in the comments, if you don't end up hoping for a particular outcome, you're likely willing to accept whatever result the coin toss gives you anyways!
