LPT: Find out if your dishwasher has a filter. If it does and you didn't know about it, then CLEAN IT OUT RIGHT NOW!

My wife and I noticed an extremely rank smell coming from the dishwasher yesterday. Turns out that it has a filter that we didn't know about! I took the filter out and it was white and dripping ooze from all the foodstuff washed off the dishes. It was absolutely disgusting. I was gagging the entire time that I was cleaning it out. So, if your dishwasher has a filter, clean it out every month. Believe me!
