LPT: If you're buying someone a Christmas present to do with their hobby, don't buy them equipment (especially cheap stuff). They know what kind are the best for them, and you probably don't.

Eg. If you know someone interested in golf, they know what golf balls they like. Don't get them cheap off brand ones Or, if they're interested in art and they use good equipment, don't buy them cheap things, they won't use them.
