LPT: If a bartender or server cuts you off, don't argue with them. They're doing what's in your best interest.
Especially now that the holiday season is in full swing, office parties and friends reuniting are in full swing, I know everyone wants to have fun. And please do! But if the person behind the bar or the server at your table makes the decision to cut you off, accept it. A drunk person is much less adept at accessing their level of intoxication compared to a sober person interacting with them.
The people serving you are legally responsible for what happens to you after you leave their establishment, so even if you don't think you've had too many (side note: you probably have), just understand that we're trying to protect you and just doing our jobs.
