LPT: Keep unused wires sorted by placing them wrapped up inside freezer bags to prevent them from tangling together.

If you have a lot of spare wires laying around, wrap them up (coils work best, with bag ties or rubber bands) and place wires of the same type or similar type (such as USB cords, HDMI cords, etc.) in a freezer bag and then when all wires sorted place all the bags in one box. It makes finding wires you need a lot simpler and you won't need to worry about a box of wires becoming a huge tangled up mess.
