LPT: Make a running list of anything in life you put off or should handle. Do them from small to large taking advantage of the power of momentum. Simple but life changing.

One day I felt overwhelmed. I got a piece of paper and started listing ANYTHING I need to handle in life. From cleaning the oven to sending an email to loosing 20 pounds to apologizing to a childhood friend. I listed everything I had any attention on. When I was done I felt a little better. I handn't done anything yet but just getting all that stuff out of my head and onto paper was a relief.

Then I got to work. I started with the quickest and essayist stuff first. A few things happened. One, I realized there's not an endless amount of things I need to do. It's really only a few. And they take less time than I imagined. Two, by starting with the easy stuff I gained momentum. It made the larger more difficult things easier to handle. Three, I felt amazingly better. I sleep better. I get more done and somehow have more free time. Seriously. I started looking for things to add to my list just because I enjoy crossing them off so much.

I'm not sure everyone will get the same results as I have, but if you ever feel overwhelmed or stressed out, simply start writing. Don't worry about the "how", if you know you should do something just put it on the list. The momentum I mentioned above is surprisingly powerful. Start doing doable things on the list and the "how" for the bigger stuff may just pop up.

TLDR: list EVERYTHING in your life that needs your attention, do them from small to large, feel relief.
