LPT: Waiting for oncoming traffic to pass so you can turn? Never prematurely turn your wheel as a hit from behind will send you right into oncoming cars

Buddy of mine was recently in an accident where he was at a green light waiting to make a left. He was waiting for oncoming traffic to pass and had his wheel already turned in anticipation of making the left. An old lady hit him from behind sending him right into oncoming traffic where he got t-boned pretty bad and died.

Just kidding, he's not dead but definitely something to keep in mind.
