When you extend your finger (as you do when removing a ring), the skin on the bottom is pulled taut while the skin on top is bunched up. This is what creates the "easy to get on but impossible to remove" phenomena you've probably experienced when trying on rings.
Just push the ring up and over that loose skin on top and you're home free!
YSK you can remove a ring stuck on your finger by pushing up before you try to pull it off.
