As a person living in low-middle class conditions, I cannot control the heat in my apartment. The whole building is run at the same temperature when it is on and when the winter season comes, it gets turned very high.
I sleep with my window open at night and during the points of finding it hard to cool down, I simply grab the end of the blanket, lift up and push the other end of the blanket down with my feet. Because duvets are so thick, the warm side is contained while the top of the sheet is exposed to the cool air for a long period of time, thus cooling it off.
The feeling of having a cold, heavy blanket is a very soothing feeling. I'm pretty sure the transition lets off a bit of steam every time I do it. Thought some people in this sub might enjoy trying it out.
