LPT: If your dog is acting lethargic, not eating or just plain odd, and the vet can't find a health reason, have their teeth checked. They could have decay or loose ones, and it's making them miserable.
For the last 6 months or so, our Morkie has been losing weight, lethargic, and just plain irritable. The vet hadn't been able to pinpoint anything, and I think frankly just shooting around in the dark for an explanation. We finally went to a different vet, who we explained the situation to. She immediately checked his teeth, and found some decay, and some loose ones. She put him under, and removed 6 teeth. One week later, he is like a puppy again, eating, playing and chewing like his old self. We were at first skeptical, but that really made all the difference, we're glad we listened!
