LPT: If your spare's stored under your vehicle check it now & then when you stop for gas. If it gets stolen you won't know until you have a flat and need it, which is the worst time to find out.

This happened to me. To add insult to injury, the assholes didn't just steal the spare, they cut the cable that held it in place. The cable's an integral part of the winch, so I had to replace the spare and the winch.
