So you probably know you can't make multiple accounts to upvote/downvote things. It just won't count. But what people do is connect using a cell phone that's connected to the cell tower. No WIFI. They create a new user name with their cell phone and upvote/downvote w/e. Then disconnect from the tower. When they reconnect they get new IP settings and can go create a new account and upvote/downvote w/e again. This registers as a different user that can vote. People/marketers keep doing this to manipulate the voting system.
You can do it too! Be like the big players on reddit and try it. It works. Have fun seeing what you can get to the front page.
Why not share other people's secrets? I found this out from someone that did this several times.
