We've all experienced rain. You've heard the weatherman say 5 inches of rain, 6 inches of rain, maybe even 10. But to give you a true grasp of what 40 inches means, I want you to stand up. Now I want you to put your hands on your hips. At this point wherever your hands are imagine water above that. That is 40+ inches of rain. It's an absurd amount in a monsoon in the jungle. It's an absolutely crazy insane number in Texas.
Keep in mind this is going to happen over a period less than a week. People in Texas are going to see flooding like no one there has seen before. Thousands of lives and homes will be ruined. Do not underestimate the damage this will cause, and the number of people who will be affected by this. Help in any way you can.
