LPT: If you are creative (beginner) but struggle with procrastination, creativity and lack of inspiration, get a boring menial job that you hate and start a side project that you love.
This is strictly for the beginners who are trying to find their voice/talent.
Having both is really important, if you stop that boring job to focus 100% on the creative side project, you may get bored/overwhelmed/cynical soon and if you stop the creative project to focus fully on the high paying but hated job so that you can earn enough money to leave it entirely later, you may end up with a heavy wallet, a lot of wasted years and a hole in the soul.
There is a staggering number of examples for this in form of authors, singers, actors, painters etc. Must have something to do with Default Mode Network.
Creative muscles of your brain are resting, recuperating and building during the boring job and work on full blast when you finally get to it. If you try to be creative all the time when you are a beginner, you just end up unmotivated and sore, so to say. Like a beginner spending a lot of time in a gym, either he/she gives up entirely due to soreness/fatigue or just becomes unmotivated by seeing too many people with hot bods and not being even close to it.
TL;DR: Don't work your creative muscles 24/7 in the beginning, having a boring job is like rest and recuperation time for the creative portion of your brain.
