LPT: If you drop ice cubes on the floor, put them in your houseplant instead of tossing in the sink.

The plant doesn't mind the gross stuff you have lurking on your floor but it does like the slow release of water and the cold does not affect it unless the plant comes in direct contact with the cube for a very long period of time.
