I love drawing, so I have this big plastic box full of pencils. Every now and again, the inside of the box gets a pretty hefty amount of lead on the sides and therefore onto the pencils and erasers. Erasing it or using soap and won't do the trick, at least not in my case. I just spray the box with a little WD40 and wipe it down with a paper towel and it's back in order. It also works for things like grease stains, whether on clothing or concrete. I'm not too sure if other lubricants work as well, but I'm sure it's not brand specific.
LPT: WD40 is more than a lubricant, it can be used as a pretty decent stain remover too.
